Submissions
We proudly welcome composers from any race to submit original works and arrangements for consideration. While we intentionally seek to create greater access for BIPOC composers, we welcome submissions from composers of all ages, races, gender expressions, and nationalities.
- Composers may submit up to three works for consideration. We prefer that composers submit their three best works.
- Works under 6 minutes in duration will be given priority consideration.
- Choral works may be scored for SATB, SAB/three-part mixed, SA, TB, or solo voice with piano. (Divisi acceptable.)
- Accessible works are encouraged.
- Texts must either be in the public domain or accompanied by proof of permission to set the text. (A copy of a permission agreement or a written statement from the writer will suffice.)
- Arrangements of public-domain works and of works within the composer’s own catalog are welcome. Arrangements of copyrighted works by others require proof of permission from the rights holder.
- Unless indicated otherwise, submitted material is assumed not to be published or held under copyright by another party. Please cite any additional writers or copyright holders directly on the score.
- We are also interested in instrumental works scored for non-traditional ensembles.
Please include complete contact information, including an email address. You will receive confirmation of receipt only if you provide an email address. Initial review takes up to [6–8 weeks]. You may withdraw your work at any time. If we are interested in your work, you will receive a letter of intent outlining copyright and contract details.
