Blayke Weatherford

Blayke Weatherford, composer
Blayke Weatherford is a native of Denham Springs, Louisiana and an alumnus of Southeastern Louisiana University, from which he holds a degree in Music Performance. He is a freelance pianist and percussionist in New Orleans, where he has resided since 2021. Blayke has also taught as a percussion tech at various high schools, as a general music instructor, and as a private instructor of both percussion and piano. He has frequently accompanied both soloists and ensembles during his career, often serving as an arranger of both vocal and instrumental music. Blayke has special interests in church music, music education, and issues relating to music and culture. He is currently finishing his studies at the New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary where he is pursuing a Master of Divinity degree, and he is the song leader of Harvest Church, which was planted in 2021 in the New Orleans neighborhood of Tremé.
